Why the Psalms Inspires!
Psalms are written as poems & sung as songs
They declare God's truth through real life worship & experiences
Hence, they express both thoughts and feelings in great depth and range
From the greatest tragedies to the highest joys, fear & faith, anger & joy, hopelessness & enduring hope, wisdom versus foolishness, praise & thanksgiving to cries of desperations
They draw us into their world and identify with us in ours
There is heavenly WISDOM for everyday life
There is divine PROPHECY of God's action & purpose
There are deep expressions of DEVOTION that instructs and motivates us These latter 3 are the Focus of this SRG

The Threefold Strands of the PSALMS
Each of our Psalms relate to a FOCAL Point within the Book of the Psalms
These 3 Psalms, together, bring to us the Multilayered revelation, instruction & inspiration of the Book of Psalms.
It is no accident that Psalms 1 and 2 are set at the very beginning of the Book of Psalms.
They each introduce a Major Component of all the Psalms.
Psalm 23 is a good example of how to we are to relate with our God, who is the Only True
and Living GOD. It is a quality that is a part of every Psalm. They give us an In-Depth thematic grasp of the Entire Book.
WISDOM – Psalm 1
This Psalm introduces godly WISDOM as a central theme throughout the Psalms.
It is this kind of Wisdom that all who belong to God are to seek, to learn and to live by.
Wisdom is God's truth embedded in our lives an integral and core component of our identity, character and way of life.
It a Primary Way of Knowing HIM and Receiving & Living by HIS Truth & Guidance.
PROPHECY – Psalm 2
This Psalm introduces divine PROPHECY as a central theme of the Psalms.

It is a Primary Way we, as His People, Hear Him to Follow and Obey.
DEVOTION – Psalm 23

It gives us guidance for How to Worship and Live by Faith
